Missing the 34th week

Well I am on my flight to California Little E and I am going to miss being present for the 34 week of your mommies pregnancy. I am so glad that I have been able to be right by her side as much as I can be. We went to the first of five pre-birth classes last night and started to learn more about what the end of this pregnancy is going to be like. We have two great teachers that will be informing us and helping to answer all of our questions, so thanks in advance to Becky and Nicole. The best part is if we forget to ask anything or don’t feel like we received a full answer we can always ask Dave and Jen.

Jen is waiting for you to get there and grow up a little so that Olivia will have another play mate. Secretly, well not so secretly, Jen is hoping that you are a little girl so that Oliva will have another little girl playmate along with Shelby. Three little girls or two little girls and a little boy… either way I know that that the three of you are going to have a great time growing up together and playing for hours on end.

I think the thing that I am going to miss the most about this week beside being with you and your mommy is the time each night when I lay down with your mommy and feel you kicking away, it is such a great time.

Love you Little E.

Let’s go to the movies

Well Little E we have finally got our camcorder. After months of searching and watching for sales on the Sony we did not even get that one. I know that the grandparents are going to be happy that we finally made this purchase and I am sure they are going to be looking forward to the movies of you that will be coming. We will try to keep they entertaining as well as some serious stuff… you know stuff like learning to crawl, crying at the top of your lungs all night, spitting up all over you just changed cloths, knocking over the tower of blocks daddy just built, sleeping on Nuba… the list just goes on and on.

Okay Little E, the nerves are starting to set in. We are now only seven weeks away from full term. I am starting to think about little things like are we going to have all of the items that you need, what is going to happen the first time mommy has to be gone for any amount of time and I am home alone, will I be able to handle it, are we going to raise you right, what if…

I know one thing for sure Little E, our Lord will provide strength and directions for all of us. In those times when we have know idea what to do He will be there and will strengthen us when we have no strength of our own. It is going to great to teach you about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and how He desires to have a personal relationship with you. That might seem like a heavy topic to be thinking about teaching you right now but you all ready know Him and He all ready loves you.

God Bless Little E.

Love Daddy

Gliding away to sleep

YEAH!!! So today we were finally able to order the glider rocker for the nursery and it should be here in four weeks. This is great news since it was originally going to take eight weeks.

Little E we will now have a place to sit and rock you as we feed and comfort you.

I can’t wait for the first time that you fall asleep in my arms. I always found it very cool when Shelby would fall asleep in my arms as I would hold her so I can’t even being to imagine what it is going to be like to hold you while you fall asleep in my arms.

Off to make some carrot cakes now. Your mommy and I are going to a party tomorrow with a group of friends from church and your daddy is bringing the famous low fat carrot cake. Someday I might let you in on the recipe.
