How quickly she changes

So I was mentioning that she was not doing a few things… now she is…

  • saying ‘mama’
  • pulling herself up to a standing position on furniture
  • drinking from a cup… even it it was just once in the bath
  • trying new foods, cottage cheese and whole bananna pieces

That is all for now

Oh the new things that you can do…

Just a quick update on some of the new little things that you are up to these days:

  • crawling around and then getting into a sitting position by yourself
  • crawling up mommy and daddy to a standing position
  • almost crawling up furniture to a standing position
  • holding a bottle with one hand (at daycare or when home on a sick day with daddy)
  • saying ‘dada’
  • saying something for nuba… sort like ‘ga’, but it is when Nuba comes around
  • saying ‘mama’ when you are not really happy but you have not said it when you are looking right at her yet… keep working on that one
  • still working on those teeth, none have come through yet

You are doing so well, if only we could kick this cold once and for all. It was great to have it go away over the Christmas break, but a few days back at daycare and you caught it again. This time you gave it to mommy and now daddy has it as well. We are all working on getting better.

I love you Emily.

Love,
Daddy

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Emily.

Welcome to 2006 and the year in which you will turn 1 year old.

We had a wonderful holiday and you were very good all through the Christmas Eve church service. After a nights sleep you woke and we had a great time opening gifts. The paper and more importantly had a great time with the ribbons and bows. You have so many new toys to play with and you are having a blast with them. I have to say that one of my favorite gifts was hand painted coffee mug that you gave me. You and mommy are so special. I will cherish it with every sip.

You are just moving around like a champ now and it is time for daddy and mommy to get the gates setup on the stairs. Look at what you can do, you are pulling yourself up to your feet all by yourself now and with a little help you can take a few steps behind your peek a block hippo… look out world here she comes.

I Love You Emily.

Daddy
