Me and My Shadow

Tonight we walked down to the park to play and swing. As soon as your feet hit the ground you were off. The sun was behind us and as you walked along you noticed your shawdow out there in front of you. It brought mommy and daddy great joy to watch you play and dance with your shadow.

Fun with words

Today’s words are pop, tail, carrots and stars.

It was cute to watch you walk all the way around the table and then behind Nuba, grab her tail and proclaim ‘tail’.

Daddy

Kite

Well now that you have “K” down you are using it all over the place. This morning you picked out one of the alphabet books and crawled up in mommy’s lap. As she turned the page with the “K” on it you yelled out “kite”. Oh you are getting to me such a smart little girl. The are more and more new words with each day.

Today Is Sponsored By The Letter K

YEAH!!! You have been working at this for a while and now you have the “K” sound now. This morning you were finally able to say one of your favorite things “book”! I am so happy for you little one and I will read to you any time you want.

Love,
Daddy

Update from Mommy: On the way home today you also started saying “buckle buckle”, working on all of those words with k in them.

Elmo Crazy

You love playing with Elmo and now you have had a chance to play with a different one at every place we visit. It is a good thing for mommy and daddy that they are not all in one place at the same time… I am sure that you would have them all singing together.

Daddy

More Firsts

On our trip back for mommy’s reunion you had a few more firsts

First Time:

  • in a pool
  • on a boat
  • meeting cousin Mackenzie
  • to Grandma and Grandpa Wobemma’s house
  • time walking around Storybook Land
  • meeting some of mommy’s friends and their kids
  • having Grandpa Macy’s great grilled fish (you could not get enough)

Oh the fun times that we had and so much more to come

Words Words Words

It is amazing little one to watch you grow and learn more each and every day. You amaze us. While we were traveling back to North Dakota and South Dakota a whole list of words started coming out:

  • papa for grandpa
  • emla for grandma… or something close to that
  • sky
  • thank you

The list goes on and grows daily. It was very fun to watch you learn the connection between ‘please’ and ‘thank you’. You had ‘please’ down for a couple of weeks and then you picked up on ‘thank you’. On one of the drives you were asking please for cheerios and then saying thank you all unprompted. Then the next day you just let that all roll into thank you for everything and seemed to forget please. Now the word please is working it’s way back in. I am guessing you just needed a break and really wanted to use you new words. So precious and so polite.

Keep up all the great learning, you are doing very well. Mommy and I will keep reading to you and teaching you. You know that one of daddy’s favorite things is to sit on the floor and have you run over with a book and drop down in my lap. You get great joy out of being read to and we love doing it.

Love,
Daddy
