Last night after dinner Dan and Emily had the most hilarious exchange. Emily reached over to Dan’s hand and said, “I got your finger” and “took” his finger. She then “held it up” and said “see, I got it!” And then proceeded to give it back to him. We asked where she learned that and she said “Gretchen” (one of her teachers at daycare). So then Dan asked if he should take her nose and Emily said yes, so he proceeded to do that and then give it back. She then decided to “take” his nose. I tell you what, our little girl has quite an imagination, because she then “took her nose off” and put it on Daddy’s face and put his nose on her face! Dan asked if he could have his nose back and she said no. He said his nose fit his face better and asked again to trade and she said, “no, I don’t like my nose.” Finally, they decided to switch back so Emily did so. Here is the funniest part. She says, “I got my nose” and reaches up, takes it “off” her face, and “puts” it on the table. She looks at us both and says, “I don’t have a nose”. Dan and I cracked up laughing, which of course made her laugh too. We just were amazed with how she grasped the concept of having something, even in pretend mode, and were just tickled to death with the whole thing. What a cutie! And I happen to like her nose too, even if she supposedly doesn’t!

We are now into the double digit count down time for little b… this last Saturday was the 99 day mark. Emily and the rest of us are getting very excited and are waiting for November when the baby comes. Emily now knows that in the month of November the baby come… well in at least she knows the word November and that is the name of the month when the baby comes. We are all getting excited and look forward to what the Lord has planned for us.
God Bless

Emily, you just touched my heart this morning. Daddy and I headed upstairs to wish you good morning as you were saying “up please”. You gave Daddy a hug and kiss, then me, then you leaned down and wrapped your arms around my big belly and gave the baby a huge bear hug, followed by a gentle kiss. You are such an affectionate big sister. I know we are all excited to meet this little one in only a few months.
I love you! Mommy
