Big Sisters
Emily and Norah are such good big sisters. No, that’s NOT a typo. They both really are wonderful big sisters. They talk about their new little sister all the time. They talk about how they don’t know her yet. They talk about how they look forward to meeting her, and how they want to share certain toys with her. They pray for her each night before they go to bed. And then they like to say Good Morning to her as they crawl into bed, because they know that as they drift off to sleep she is waking up for the day on the other side of the world in China.
We are so excited to be adding another daughter to our family, this time via international adoption. Already she is such a blessing in our lives, and we don’t know a single thing about her yet. Follow along on our journey to our daughter as we complete the necessary steps to get us to that wonderful day – referral day – when we will see the picture of our precious little girl for the first time and learn the first details about her life. And of course, that is really only the beginning of the journey, as we will travel a few months after that to bring her home.
There are lots of unknowns in the journey ahead. What we do know is this:
–Our God is faithful and He has led us very clearly to this path.
–He will remain with us every step of the way.
–He has poured out so many blessings on our family and we cannot wait to share those blessings with another child.
–He knows our daughter…and we are counting the moments until we do too.
