Family Art Project – Sidewalk Chalk

One of our favorite things to do in nice weather is to decorate our driveway with sidewalk chalk. Last summer, Emily had me draw hearts and then we would jointly color them in. Well, she requested the same thing this time around, so we made a big heart and all four of us contributed to the coloring. I think it is our best one yet. Of course, no work of art is complete without a signature, so we each put our names next to it and added our newest family member’s name too – our family is not complete without her.

We actually created this work of art several weeks back and have been holding back on posting it until we felt “ready” to unveil her name. We think it is beautiful and can’t wait to meet the little girl who will receive this name. If you have been around the girls at all, you may have heard it already – they speak of their little sister often.
