Today we received Provisional Approval (PA), so it is with great joy and happiness that we introduce to you:

Julia JiLei Lacher
Born December 22, 2009
Currently living in Shanghai

It is reported that this little one is quiet, but sometimes obstinate.  She is a deep sleeper, sleeping from 7:30 at night to 6:30 in the morning (a familiar schedule to all of us!)  At age 7.5 months (around when we believe this picture was taken) she weighed about 15 lbs.  Her middle name is her given Chinese name – Ji means to help or provide, and Lei means an unopened flower.

We are absolutely smitten with this precious little gift from God and can’t wait to bring her home.  When will that be?  The current estimate is in the Feb-Mar timeframe.  Pray along with us that the next steps of paperwork move quickly and we can bring her home as soon as possible.  Also pray that God’s hand of healing is upon her and she stays in good health.

    She is beautiful! We just came from this region of the world with bright big dark eyes such as this! By the way, December 22 is our wedding anniversary. :-) Sure sounds like this little girl was meant for the Lacher fam…..sleeping schedule is the same. Have to say, getting accustomed to US time zone after Asian time zone has it’s challenges…so be patient with her when she finally gets into her new home with her new family. :-)
