TA!!!!
We got our Travel Approval today!! Our agency had told us the DHL shipment wasn’t expected until after 4 pm. I was busy at work today and was actually dialed in to a teleconference with a colleague when my cell phone rang. I saw it was Dan, so I put the conference on hold for a moment and Dan asked if I was available to talk – I explained the situation and said I could call them back and he said, “Yeah, that would be a good idea.” So I asked my colleague if I could call her right back, and then my phone was ringing, with the agency’s phone number on the caller ID. They patched Dan through too and said, “Congratulations on your TA!”
Now that we have Travel Approval, we had to submit our preferences for our Consulate Appointment dates. Hopefully we will find out tomorrow which date we have, and within the next 48 hrs we should be booking our flights!
It is so surreal that we are actually preparing to go to China! We love you Julia and we’re coming soon.
