Our Daughter is a Boy?!
…At least in the eyes of the USA right now, ha ha. We were so excited to pull Julia’s Certificate of Citizenship out of the mailbox yesterday. Imagine our surprise when we saw her gender listed as male. Ugh. Just finished filling out the form to submit to have a new one issued with the correct info. Hopefully it won’t take another 4-6 weeks to get. Fun stuff.
On the plus side, we learned this weekend that Julia enjoys playing with Play-Doh (yippee!) and that she HATES standing in lines or really waiting for anything (boo!) We continue to be blessed by moments of joy and struggle through the bad moments. I particularly am having a hard time adjusting to this new normal. Emily had her first soccer game of the season today and it was so hard to have to miss her game since Julia needed to have her nap (Dan is the coach so he obviously has to be there). Even worse was hearing how hard she played and how she had 2 goals and 1 assist! I am so happy that she has an activity she loves and I am so proud of her. This Soccer Mom is really going to have a hard time living the season through the at-home recaps. Hopefully by the time the fall season rolls around we will be able to be a bit more flexible with Julia’s schedule, but right now we are just trying to create some stability for her.
