Psalm 1

Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. 3 He is like a tree planted [...]

Emotional Rollercoaster

As a new mommy of 3 I find myself on quite the emotional rollercoaster. I don’t know if it is that 3 is much more difficult than 2, or that starting with a toddler is much more difficult than a newborn, or that helping an adoptive child work through her grieving is emotionally and physically [...]

Sunday Worship

So yesterday, somewhere in between Norah coughing so hard during the night that she threw up, and last night when her whole body was trembling as a result of her fever, we had some awesome moments.  Since Norah was sick we stayed home from church and had an important lesson about how we can worship [...]

Naked

If I had to choose a word to describe me right now, it would be Naked. But not in the way you might think. The day after Emily was born, my wonderful husband presented me with a gift – a beautiful beaded bracelet, locally made, with her name on it. I have worn this bracelet [...]

Next Level

So for those that don’t know, I (Dan) have been known to talk in my sleep.  Peekers has also been known to chatter a little in her sleep.  While napping yesterday she broke into song, singing her ABCs and then right back to rock solid sound sleep.  It was awesome!

One of the great joys of going to the grocery store is to ride on the mechanical horse that only cost one penny to ride. It is an extra treat for the girls if they are good while we shop. The last time that Erin took Peekers to the store Sandy the horse was out [...]

Cutting the Grass

Mommy: Our grass is getting really long – Daddy is going to cut it tonight. Norah: Yeah, that is why we need to use our scissors.

One Hit Wonders and Anatomy

I (Erin) am trying to do a better job capturing the little things the girls do and say so when I finally get around to scrapbooking I will have fun stories to go along with all the pictures. So here are a few gems from today: Emily (as Ice Ice Baby came on the radio [...]

Quotes from the girls…

Conversations from playtime with mommy the other night… Norah: Mommy, let me get my measure so I can check your head……it’s pretty big. Mommy: How big is it? Norah: Twenty oh five. Emily: Here Mommy you need to watch my baby for me, I need to go to work. Mommy: Oh, what do you do [...]

Sick House

So I know in some trendy circles, the above would mean that someone’s house is really cool, neat, etc. Unfortunately, the above is a literal translation – every one of us is sick. Emily has the cough and nose filled with goo; Norah has been prescribed Claritin and breathing treatments as we believe she may [...]
